Sustainability
Sustainability practices are integral to our design philosophy, and we seek to incorporate sustainable technologies and materials as “common sense” approaches to architecture.
JPTA is a member of the Canada Green Building Council or CaGBC — and has LEED AP Accredited Professionals on staff. JPTA and its consultant teams are committed to the practice of sustainable design initiatives. More than ever, clients, businesses, schools and universities want and expect sustainable and environmentally sensitive spaces. Recycled materials, low-VOC paints, organic fabrics, and energy-saving designs have all become commonplace.
We’ve worked on many green building initiatives, such as a bio-filter plant wall, raised access flooring, daylighting and passive-solar techniques, high-performance building envelope systems, and stormwater capture and reuse technologies — all as part of the integrated design process. It takes a knowledgeable, dedicated, and focused team to achieve this type of sustainable execution.
